The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard
The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.
We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

Hey is anyone else out there getting siked on this weather - just a few hours away??? Its sounding like this is the biggest storm so far for 2006?

The weather might keep the crowds out and its more for you and me....
In the Crystal ball I see tons of POWDER and no lift lines and my skis making tracks. I also see the snow falling so hard that everytime I get back to the top my track from the last run are gone - It's like first tracks every run - all day.
I am there........
Where's everyone else? - if you want to stay home then its more 4 me.

i'm going to cry. we chose a horrible weekend of jan. 22 for our ski resort weekend. feb. 11 was the other option. i want pics!!! i'm stuck in a lab in durham writing a manuscript on muscle disease all weekend!!! which will more than make up for the thursday i take off for the pre-summit at beech feb. 23 if no one's noticed yet.

Granted not all the moderators are adults the immaturity and egos of the moderators is diminishing the atmosphere of this board.

How is this post useless? I RARELY delete and have never locked. Instead, I prefer to educate those on the board when it looks like someone is up to some shenanigans. This prevents ridiculous flame wars and baiting people into conversations which don't even need to take place. The ultimate goal? Reducing what you call useless posts.
In regard to not even knowing who the mods are, we can't help that. The system displays it at the top of the screen. Anyhow, I think that the board should know who we are to hold us accountable (as you are rightly doing now).
As for egos, I can't speak for the others that have the moderator position, but the only reason I am doing this is because Mike asked for help and I don't want to see our board shut down by a few irresponsible folks. Feel free to take over these reigns any time you like--I can go back to causing trouble.
