Well i have been really pumped about going up to App all week so i can use my new twin tips but the weather, although very good, is also kind of bad for me. I have about a 3 hours drive to App coming from central NC/Chapel Hill and im just wondering how the roads might be? Does anyone know if the crew up there clears the roads fast or will snow accumulate very quickly? this may be a hazard affecting wether i go up or not but i REALLY have a craving for some fresh pow. O yeah, and my dad is driving, we have a bmw X5 and we put the snow tires on. Any one know what the circumstances will be? my dad hasn't gotten home yet so im not sure what he will say, but im hoping for the best. I NEED POWDER.

im leaving from gso in da morning for app. i have driven up there the entier way with the roads covered before. they do scrape them, but they can still be really slikc. have to take it slow better to get there safe than not at all. going down is the worst part.

Snow + Asphalt = slick.

Be careful, there isnt really anymore input you can get.

This website will give you an idea of the conditions in the morning.

Yeah, I would say the last part of the drive to App is fairly windy.

If you start sliding do what Floridiots do, jam on the breaks and steer away from the way you are sliding... it works wonders on snow/ice.
