The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

The weather guru's here in Alabama are calling for warmer temps this weekend. What is the latest coming out of the Knoxville area?

Friday Weather 53/35 with showers Wind shifting from SW during the day to ENE overnight

Sat. Weather 40/25 with showers Wind WNW

Sun. Weather 47/31 with snow flurries Wind N

Now for my take on the Ober Weather, the wind shift on Friday evening is crucial. If winds remain from the South temps at Ober will be very warm (40'ish), however once winds shift to the North the temps at Ober will plummet and should result in snow late Friday evening through early afternoon and possibly all day Saturday if the G'burg high temp is no more than 40. Clouds, light wind and high relative humidties should prevent any possible temperature inversion.

Wind direction is a crucial factor in Ober's weather. If the winds are from the South Ober will normally be 5-8 degrees warmer than Knox/G'burg; if the winds are from the North Ober will normally be 5-8 degrees colder than Knox/G'burg.
