Darn Joe...give it a rest. You're starting to be a bit of a troll yourself. Trying to boost up stuff. How many times does one have to say, it is not a PHOTO of the year contest, it is a reporter of the year contest? You could send 1,000,000 photos from one event and that would not equate to sending 1 image a day, every day. Regardless of what you or others may think Lorrie has sent quality ON SLOPE photos, not simply from the side and base areas. I have not posted 1/10th of the images she has sent us.
She has sent images AND reports from many resorts.
Kent Jackson is now a distant 2nd and Mark quite a ways behind him. Unless Mark was to send a report everyday for the next month, he'll have a tough job catching the top two.
In closing, last year we had as many reporters and reports as this season and without all of the fuss...and we only gave away a small prize. We thought we were trying to reward good effort, not create a bunch of begrudging personalities who are too quick to criticiize people who are trying ...rather than appreciating their efforts.
WE appreciate all reporters and photos, even Snowbird's broken Engish-hard as heck to read ones!
So stop the whining or we'll have to set up a "whiner line" to accomodate some of you guys. Enough's enough guys. Show some class and appreciation for people who are trying, rather than being so darn critical.
For the record, I AM thinking seriously about coming up with a SINGLE PHOTO OF THE YEAR photo (Southeast resorts only) and who knows...WHO might win. At least that way SOME PEOPLE who then know the DIFFERENCE in a Photo of the Year contest and a REPORTER of the year one.
