The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

i was going to say don't worry about the grease because that would imply they did maintenance at some point, but from that description it sounds like the best bet is to stay away

wow thanks for the info. wonder how many times they have evacuated it this year? dont think it will matter for me this weekend though. i doubt my 4 year old will be ready for the top of the mountain on her first day.
me and my crew will stick to sugar next weekend. hope ski patrol leaves us alone, lol. knock on wood i have never had a problem with them. i am sure my skis stay on the ground a lot more than the rest of you guys though.

thursday beech update. the chairs are still hanging which makes me think its not fixed. i guess i'll go ride 6 tomorrow and find out more...

don't know about Beech's comment about grease but Sugar has a disclaimer about it.

Our lift equipment requires routine maintenance. Although every precaution is taken; in rare cases, grease may drip from lift equipment. Sugar Mountain Resort is not responsible for grease on clothing or equipment. This is an inherent risk of the sport

Welp, today was the last day for Sapphire; I was told tomorrow is for employees only. Had a good time though, even if it was slush by 1115.
