The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

The quad lift at Beech was NOT running on Friday. I was told by an employee it may not be fixed until after the weekend.

I hope this is finally the offseason that they replace it. This seems to be an annual thing the last 4 years.

See the quad is not moving again today???

We have a group of around 200 racing this weekend would really suck to have to wait for the old 2 person all weekend :oops:

If you beech heads have any info on the lift please post it up!

Not good.

Lift 6 is open, providing full access to the summit. Lift 5, the Quad, is non-operational for the foreseeable future. We are working diligently to resolve the situation. Please check the slope report daily for updates on lift and terrain offerings. Thank you for your patronage and please contact us directly with further questions.

Ski racing event cancelled ...

From what I have gathered the past few days... word is quad lift will not run this weekend or possibly not again without a major investment..


Good luck to Beech!

My opinion after 25 years of skiing up there.... Its too bad they ripped the shed down and cut all the trees down.. the trees used to hold snow and the shed protected the damn lift...

RIP... Beech for me this season.

I can't attest to the trees being ripped out as I've only been going for 11 years or so now and they were gone before then, but man, removing the barn seems to have killed the quad. That's for sure. I remember when I first started going there and the quad would zoom zoom to the top. It was awesome.
