Put off going to Beech all season until they finally opened everything; went last week (last day of January) figuring if Oz wasn't open yet, then it wasn't going to open given the great weather. And of course they opened it 2 days later.

So now the question is, is it worth driving up to Beech tomorrow with the quad down just to get a few runs on Oz? Maybe I should go somewhere else - the way the weather is going, this may be it for a while.

Oma's meadow at Sugar is pretty similar to Oz. low pitch and wide. give that a try.

Well heck..my timing just seems to be bad with trip planning the past couple years. Last year we went to snowshoe and landed there in the middle of a warm rainy spell..with so much wind they had to shut most of the lifts down for half the trip. This year we opted for a cheaper option (beech) for this weekend and not only is the quad a goner, so is the weather. Must press on. I inquired about discounted tickets on account of the lift being down and had no luck.

Apparently Lift 6 isn't running this weekend either. Yikes. Not a good end to the season for Beech.

Stick a fork in Beech for the season, after this coming week and the fact they do not make snow after February to water deal with the town they are done. It's a shame they couldn't ski to the top this weekend.
