Looking at the Silver Creek live cam today I noticed a lone snow gun running in the background. (upper left hand corner)
Could it be that snowshoe is going to open Silver Creek early this year? Maybe to help with social distancing..

The plan is that there won't be any lift access reservations required for people with any sort of pass for Snowshoe. That includes regular Ikon passes or the Snowshoe-only passes. So getting Silver Creek open early is important. Limiting capacity will be based on restricting the number of day tickets made available online. More open terrain and open lifts means more actual revenue.
2023-24: Wolf Creek in Dec, Massanutten in Jan, Feb; GT, Big Sky; Crested Butte; Alta/Snowbird in April.

Have seen Dec. 18 as the target date to open Silver Creek. Too warm in Nov to get open much earlier I guess.
