The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

O.K., i know I know, very popular spots, crowds, etc. But when you have free use of a timeshare, make use of it! Got to Avon last Monday night. It snowed all night and we woke to 10" of new snow. Problem was that it was extremely windy Tuesday, and the back bowls and Blue Sky were closed until late in the day. The next 3 days were great. No new snow but nice sunny weather. A bit warmer than I expected (got into the high 30's each day probably), but still a great trip. The key out there, and anywhere for that matter in my opinion, is getting there for rope drop.

Anyway, I threw together a little video from my helmet camera footage. Didn't realize until the last day that I had a mark on the lens. Sorry for the blurry spot.

Blue Sky Trees section looked pretty nice. Good production, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to many groomers though for the snow that it appeared was there, way to decimate a potentialy good line at 7:15. Nice tree slides though.

Yeah, got the shots of the groomers last day after it had gotten quite warm the day before and the cold night made it a bit crusty. It helped some but it's amazing how well the snow holds up in the thick tree areas. Still very soft!

The first shot was from Sun Up Bowl and we dropped in around Headwall. We took the Mountaintop Express and started on the catwalk to Blue Sky Basin, but couldn't resist dropping in!

^^^ That doesn't work at Vail.

Maybe A-Basin, Loveland, or the Beav.... but not Vail.
