The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

The college freshman in WI hoping to get $5000 from the Pepsi Refresh $1.3 million giveaway in May needs more voters. Her project is in the Top Ten at the moment, but has fallen to #8. If it is still there at the end of the month, she will be half way to her goal of $10,000. She rides in a MS150.

Voting only takes a minute or two once a Pepsi Refresh account it set up.

Lots of other worthy causes to support, including several in NC.
2023-24: Wolf Creek in Dec, Massanutten in Jan, Feb; GT, Big Sky; Crested Butte; Alta/Snowbird in April.

It's time to sign up for our team and anyone can join.

Let me see if I can ride 25 this w/e. Surely with just a little bit of training I can do 50/50 over two days.

One more bump!

Our team is going well and we have several SkiNC/Southeast members riding and a big thank you to Mike for sponsoring us.

From yesterday's First Trax report

08.4.10 09:50 AM

SKIPINK IS IN THE HOUSE...

Frances dropped by the office this past week and it was great to see her. In addition to being a loyal SkiNC/SkiSoutheaster Frances is with the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem. (No wonder many of our more medicated messageboard members migrate to her! - J-u-s-t k-i-d-d-i-n-g!)

Anyway, Frances was in town to take part in some musical fun over in Valle Crucis this past weekend, but she dropped by the office to promote an MS Fundraiser over at Tanglewood. Seems that she and several SkiNC-ers are participating as a team bike ride event to raise money to fight MS. She had written us earlier that, "...Several SkiNC people are doing the MS Tour to Tanglewood Bicycle Ride with me this September. The Riders are me, Keith(Bultaco), Kelly Melang (Skiwryter), and believe it or not Hubert (HNH)Baxter is coming up from Florida! Also Jim Bailey (SlimJim) is hosting the tent. I’m trying to talk Andrea (SoutheastMac) into riding too. This year is the 25th anniversary of the ride and we are expecting 1700 + riders."

We jumped on board as a sponsor and gave her a bunch of stickers and if you're over that way you should be able to spot those guys proudly (and loyally) representin' us with jerseys displaying the SkiSoutheast Logo. Thanks to Frances and all team members and thanks for thinking of us.

Here's the link http://main.nationalmssociety.org/site/ ... _id=181655 for anyone wishing to still join the team (I will be sending in the jersey orders soon so jump in now!) or make a donation to any team member and thanks for everyone's support!

Skisoutheast bike jerseys? Sounds cool.

I would say "I would rock one" but that would imply that I still ride my bike.
