Spent a few hours this morning at Sugar. Normally I'd never venture there on a Sat morning, but it's opening day and I have new boots to test out. Conditions were ok, but better than nothing. The snow was very firm early, but softened up very quickly. It was actually a lot of fun. Lots of little rollers and 1 kind of odd ditch just above the mid-reload area. A few bare spots were making an appearance. Saw a sweet fartbag and who was the girl in the Steelers jersey?? I enjoyed one of Sugar's $5.50 beers, it's BYOB from now on. Never met up with the SkiNC crew, but I did recognize a person or 2 from their reports. If you want to hit the slopes, do it tomorrow. It's already back to golf weather here! The snow won't last long.

Way to get at it! Glad Sugar charged reasonable rates for early conditions.

Nicely done. Looks like it was worth it.

looks like a fun day. After a long hot SE summer the first turns on snow can't be beat. I would've come up if things had panned differently for me the last 2 months.
