These pictures are from my day on Thursday, a day after we had a little over 2 feet of snow.
We have had a very weak season so far with only two significant snow storms this season. While the ski park has been open since mid January, the base is pretty weak under the two feet of powder compared to years past since the guys here do no know how to make snow the proper way.
The park is pretty small, 3 lifts, 425 skiable acres. The park is located on the base of Mt Shasta, a volcano in Northern California that is known for its back country skiing.
Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoy pictures from a little know ski park.
The road up to the ski park from town, around 11 AM or so. We had a few people stuck in the snow banks.
A look at the Marmot lift and the west face. This is a standard black diamond at Shasta. It is a lot steeper than it looks.
Headed up Marmot
Started to snow at the top, This is a look at Cotoye Butte.
A look up North Saddle, a nice blue run.
Here is Easy Street, one of my favorite green runs.
Here is a shot of Coyote Butte(left) and Marmot(right)
Here is sticks 'n stones a nice black run off Coyote Butte.

A shot from the coyote butte lift.
the park below coyote butte lift, Buffalo Birch on the left.
Westface again with the summit of Mt. Shasta hiding behind the clouds.
A shot from the Marmot lift, I love hitting up the powder under this lift. It is not on the trail map and it is on the beginner side of the mountain so the powder is usually fresh.
Coyote from the douglas left
Westface, you can see how little the coverage is, the brush is sticking through the 2+ feet of snow.
This is Telemark, they left a lot of runs ungroomed which made for a nice powder day.
Marmot lift again
Bottom of Telemark
Snowboarders hanging out.

It looks great -- I would ski that in a heartbeat -- and it looks like a lot of turny trees between runs
Oh yeah, and then there is Shasta
I hope you are loving it, conditions have sucked everywhere but that does look like a very special spot

Thanks for the pics. It looks like a great place to ski and I'm glad you landed some powder out there!

Yep, they closed the old ski bowl after several avalanches took our the lodge and lifts. You can still ski it today but you need a snow mobile to get up.
We got about two feet of snow last night with another foot or so on the way today. Pow day tomorrow.
