The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

I know...late. I did my share in season, so I held off on this until the summer to help keep traffic going thru the dry season. My annual Vail trip with my brother with a surprise meetup with a board member.

Arrive March 6th. The CME from DIA..clear day but snow is in forecast.

View from room on morning of 7th, overnight snow didn't develop but it started early morning.

And kept on comin (this is somewhere around Mid-Vail)

Short break around mid-day. Damn those long Vail lift-lines! (One gondola)

And started again late afternoon.

March 7th

Morning view from Lionshead. Blue-bird after fresh 8 inches!

Headed to backbowls

From Pete's Express

Finish the day watching the Burton US Open. I circled the boarders getting air.

March 9th new snow, blue-bird and a little warmer. Best day of trip. (Trees somewhere near Lodgepole)

Top of Chair 4

Apres ski with free champagne at Chops in Lionshead Village.

March 10th No new snow and warmer again, which turn the untracked pow to heavy mash which really stunk because Davidski showed up!!! I planned to head to some nice trees areas I hit the day prior but that didn't work out. So I gave him a tour sticking to mostly groomers, covering 80% of Vail. Check out his CO TR post.

David and me at Belle's camp, top of Blue-Sky basin

Big Rock Park

Last run (Lindsy's...as in Vonn)

Hey summer posts are great, they keep the dream alive.

I had a great time, we did clock some runs. I admit I felt a little Jed Clampit-ish (yea it's a word, look it up) Valet parking scares me.... why are they so nice?

A lot of those endless sweeping runs are in my mind. Did your Bro have that phone removed from his ear... cause that looked painful.

Thanks man, see you this winter
