Well, here is my addition to Medic's TR. I got to Beech around 9:30 to a handful of cars in the parking lot. I had a meeting with Group Sales for a group I'm bringing up in Feb. First look at the Resort and was amazed at how much coverage they had after the mild weather they had the past few days, plus they were blowing on all open slopes and a few spots that were not(Powder Bowl). I got the call from Medic that he probably wasn't going to make it until 1 or 2pm, so I decided I would wait until the twilight session to ride. We get on the hill a little after 2 and head up to the top on the quad. We make are first turns of the day and was pleasantly suprised of the snow quality except for a few spots. We lapped Upper and Lower Shawneehaw for about 2 hours and then decided to get something to eat. We then preceeded to go to the bar and have a few drinks. We talked with Rhyne(Ticket Sales Manager), the bartender (I never did get his name, sorry), and another gentleman that worked there. I really enjoyed talking with these guys about different areas of the operations of Beech. They are really trying to be more proactive then reactive to getting Beech back to where it once was. I really do applaud them for the improvements that have been made(little to no Death cookies, snow quality, grooming, cleanliness of the resort, etc.) so far. I have only been there once before and didn't have a good experience, but this was a really good one. Because of this, I am a big fan of them now. With all of the improvements so far and more to come, I feel everyone needs to start frequenting Beech alot more and we can help them get back to being the best in the NC High Country. So me and Medic head back out for the night session to get first tracks on the courdoroy with a handful of others, and it was some of the funnest times I've had on groomers in a long time. They really have stepped up their game when it comes to grooming and haven't had that smooth of a run on a slope since my skiing days out west. We continued to lap the hill for the next two hours and decide to call it a night. Fun times were had yesterday and I want to give a BIG thanks to Beech Mtn, Medic, Rhyne Garris, Talia Freeman, Ryan Costin(For his grooming), the bartender(Sorry again for not catching your name), and the rest of the staff for making it a great experience.
Now on to the couple of pics and one video that I took. Sorry for the quality, as I forgot my camera in the car and had to use my phone.
A view of Upper Shawneehaw for the Parkway.

Beech turning on the guns "Full Blast" during grooming. They have created quite a few big snow whales all the way up the mountain.

Here's a short video of Beech's GM (Ryan Costin) grooming and laying down some sweeeet Courdoroy.
Thanks for looking and I would say that by this weekend, they should have more terrain open. They started blowing at 6 on Robbins Run and within 2 hours they had about 3"-4" layed down on a majority of the slope. It would not suprise me to see it open by this weekend.
EDIT: Edit for pretty much a guarentee, for more slopes opening by this weekend!!!!

me and skiing rules were there until about 3. We did laps on u/l shan. all day. after crashing hard and hurting the same place I crashed the day before at app, I wasn't in the mood to stay that much longer, especially with the drive back to atl later. it wasn't that bad, but lapping the same thing all day gets somewhat old. ill have some pics up later. I've been busy today, and i've been too lazy tonight.

I looked for you and SR, but now know why I didn't se you guys. It wasn't until about 2:30 when we actually got on the quad. Hope you're ok.
