Was there toward the end of Feb for about 5 days and got caught in a blizzard which meant mucho powdah. Black runs were about all I wanted to go on. They were quite the workout though...especially Lower Shays....now that was just awesome!

Not to sound depressing, but we may not have another winter like that in our lifetimes. That is truely how special last winter was.

I took a backpacking trip in mid-October to the smokies that would probably have been better accomplished with snowshoes 
Last season was amazing and we can always hope that this season will be even better!
