Cool setup. Why don't you create a path and clear rocks/logs before the snow so you don't get all banged up? Couldn't you just hook a grader to the back/front of that ride-on?

I usually keep the "trail" straight down the hill mowed. Failed to this summer, mowed it real fast last week before the snow. You can see I missed a few weeds.

I also dug up the rocks several years ago. Even if you scrape through, you'll just hit grass. Normally that is. Skiing other parts of the hill is dangerous, bust through the snow and beware. I also in the past have had more snow fence up. It "farms" the snow quite nicely there with the west wind blowing across the slope. Hill is also facing north, that helps a lot too.

1. That is the coolest thing ever.

2. I can't help but say in my best Jeff Foxworthy voice, "If you ever built a ski lift out of a lawn mower and a bicycle..." (you know the rest) lol

Now that is funny!! LOL

This evening the snow has firmed up more and now has nice soft bumps. Still no grass. It made it up to 40 today, but not much melting on the north facing hill, still powder flying around when I turn.

i can see the salesmans face when you are buying the lawnmower...i need a 22hp, 52" cut, and a strong frame to winch the ski tow rope in the winter. still one of the best home setups i've seen.

Fun was still to be had this evening when I came home. Ran out and made about 30 min. worth of turns. Snow getting packed a bit more and bumping just a bit as seen here
