ok here are some pics. I haven't posted any in a while so here are some ones I like from the last few weeks.

Here is the deck after the Feb. 8th dumpage where we got 18" of cold smoke

It hit on a tuesday which is my day off so I was able to get a good spot in line

The backside looked like this

And Bad news looked like this

Later in the day mike and I went on a tour planning on skiing the chute on Holy Toledo

The snow was already beat with a lot of wind scouring where we wanted to ski so we decided to traverse to flagstaff and ski something off Emma Ridge. The snow there was sun crusted and absolutely terrible to ski. A few pics from the day.

Heres a pic of the top of the Line I want to ski in silver fork.

Here are some pics from the Last storm we got. We ended up with 35" of good pow that settled to exactly knee deep, probably 28"

There were some scary crowns on most steep slopes. Baldy slid huge in a few spots. The crowns up top were probably 7' deep

Here is a pic of a drop I've been looking at for a while. The crowds hit hard on sunday and backside was beat by 10am when we got up there. The drop is in East Greely I believe and I haven't seen anybody hit it, or any tracks off it. The now was deep and soft enough that it was good to go even though it was tracked. The takeoff is the obvious launch point on the top of the cliff. It is about 25'. I didn't hit it with much speed so it could be a good bit big bigger. Its a very sendable drop on a pow day.

Landing compression, where am I?

Landed and skied away. It was a great feeling to hit and ski away. Below was deep chopped pow that was really fun to ski. I had mike's gopro on but the landing impact broke the cam off the helmet. It was also held on with a lanyard so the cam just dangled as I skied down, but it was not lost.

On sunday the Devils castle opened around 12:30. We jumped in line about 20 mins before it opened. There was already an insane backup

in front of us

behind us. I was skiing with kate all day.

There was easily 400 people in line. It was pretty insane. Lots of beaters in the line as well. it was a very slow moving sidestep.

it was like this for our second lap as well.

BUT, the snow was amazing, and it was bluebird, and I have no complaints. It really can't get much better than it was in the castle. It was blower pow that had settled overnight.

the top

The Bottom was good too. very good.

The lower trees were money. we hit it while still untracked and skied beautiful pow for a long way

our tracks, mine on the left

Kate was indulging as well

I

love pow skiing. its absolutely addictive and pretty much the best thing ever. you should try it. This weekend we had lots of pow. Friday can't be described in words. I hit diving board 3 times, skied thigh deep 5% all day, and got faceshots like I didn't think was possible. Saturday was more diving board and boot top pow all day, and sunday was bluebird in the castle.

on the way down I saw a roller with a tree behind it and I wasn't sure if I wanted to go left or right of the tree so I ran into the middle of it. It was pretty hilarious and ridiculous, no hurt though.

Man powder skis are crazy big. Those look like 4x10s from the lumber yard.

Wow. Awesome TR! I am so jealous. Are they going sideways on this or is this just wait in line?
