The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

everyone is slowly sidestepping out into the castle. Its super backed up because of the 1 overweight smoker that decided he wanted to get some exercise

we had a nice touring party yesterday. myself, kate, Bailey, strick and Jake all went up to little Superior. I haven't been up that way in a long time, Christmas day was actually the last time I went up there and I got absolutely rocked on that skin up because I wasnt acclimated or in as good of shape as I am now, so yesterday it was super easy getting to little superior, well the last 200' vert on the ridge was tricky with a lot of switchbacks and some icy areas, but very manageable. It snowed about 5 inches overnight which was just enough to make the south facing descent fun again, but we still were poking through to the ice crust underneath in places. We will hit Superior soon after seeing how easy it was getting to L. superior. Superior proper is about 30 mins further up the ridge. its a pretty technical exposed scramble in areas.

now pics:

The ridge of Cardiff has lots of cool features and drops to hit including some cool double stagers. I like this one a lot. Its a hair bigger than the drop on the backside I hit, so next time theres pow I think I will skin up and check it out. its a lot bigger than the pic makes it look. its in the neighborhood of 35'-45' depending on how fast its hit.

Lots of cool line options on the backside of holy toledo. It will get hit soon.

Alta

Little superior with superior looming above. And a powderturd dropping off some peeps to ski into cardiac.

Looking down from lit superior. its a pretty awesome line, and we were the first ones up it that skied the SE face

We would have hit a lap into cardiac bowl but one in our group was exhausted after the skin up to Little so we just skied to the road.

Superior so close

South side of the road down canyon. This view never gets old

our tracks above

and no tracks below
