The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

agreed. i spent the extra cash on the chest mount too, haven't really used it since i got back from steamboat in december. i like the point of view but sometimes wished my knees were invisible. also it makes it harder to point and shoot others around you
:D :) ;) :( :o  :? 8-) :x :P      :!: :?:   :| :geek: :ugeek:

What about a beard mount. It would be higher up, so no more knees in the shot. Plus you can point is easier because your beard looks where you look.

ahhh, I knew my inability to grow a substantial amount of facial hair would be my downfall.

I used to have a helmet mount but a landing impact snapped the mount off the helmet even though it was super glued on. I never liked the feel of a helmet mount. It sticks up to high and it looks pretty whack. The chesty today needed to be aimed a little higher, and a jacket I just bought is pretty huge (and fluorescent yellow) so it was kind of flapping up a little anytime I was in the air or carrying speed. The bigger problem is that the weather was warm so the cam housing was as well and any snow that flew up caked onto the lens and made the vids pretty crappy. The snow was incredible though we skied 3 laps in silver fork. I jumped off a few things including the line I've been eyeing. I didn't ski it right off just because there avy danger was moderate with wind loading occurring while we were skiing. I skied a line next to the chute and the snow was rock solid deep sugary pow, but some else had already skied it and messed up the drift I was going to ski, and they sluffed most of the good snow off so the upper part wasn't very good. The huck was fun and kind of interesting. It's not a good feeling as soon as you clear the takeoff and realize you're about land in the first guy's bombhole. I landed it and skied away it just wasn't super clean. I'll look at the vids and see if any of the footage is salvageable

it hasn't snowed at all up here yet, just windy as kcuf. It's a sw wind that is pretty warm. a dense 5" will ski nicely though.
