I've been out here since December. I will head back to NC 1st of May. Trying the seasonal thing and I apparently picked a good year. Most resorts in Tahoe have had record setting snowfall. Tomorrow is actually my 100th day at Alpine. I think I've got around 110 days total including a few days at Sugar in Nov. Looking forward to being back in the Blue Ridge....grass skiing and snowflex all summer!!

whatve u been doing for money while out there?
Coaching/instructing at Alpine Meadows.
Watching the sunset at Kings Beach...priceless
Easier to get to the river when there's several feet of snow
East coast skiers/boarders get way more excited about this much snow than the average Californian.

Super stoked about this.....my first attempted backflip on skis was successful. Found the right spot and Alpine had about 5 inches of heavy wet snow to land in. This season long trip in Tahoe has been epic. Yesterday we paddled the S. Fork of the American River and fresh tracks and backflips today!
I'll be back in North Carolina next week and join the rest of you mourning the loss of all the snow.[VIMEO]22694524[/VIMEO]

good stuff man! I really want to attempt a backflip, but I'm scared shitless of the possibility of landing right on my head. I would have to find the perfect jump with soft snow for landing in.

i've been saying this for a while about trying a double backy....the reality is...you never find that perfect jump with that perfect landing. focus on finding the right size cojones, chuck one on an east coast sketchy jump, and then you know you can do them anywhere. i need to do the same for doubles...heck, i'll make you a deal, if you commit to going for a back next year, ill go for a double (ask the guys i ride with, bets like this occur often)!
