OK just got in about 4:30 and the temp is 40 up top! The resort looks vacant. Got settled and then went to dinner at Cheat Mtn Pizza and there were only 2 other tables with people at them around 6 PM!

I am going to use this thread to hopefully do daily updates. I hope i can figure out how to post pics since I brought the camera. Staying at HH house and the location is just awesome. The room is kinda small (it is a jr studio so that is to be expected) it is but nice though. Having my own locker on the ground floor is great too. I lost all cell service a full hour before i got here coming up from the south it happened just a few minutes after I got off 64 turned and onto 92N.

Now at 7pm it is pretty foggy up here right now and raining

I am just praying it stops soon. Please send cold weather vibes my way!

could you throw up some pictures of the jr. studio. the pictures on the website are the 1 bedrooms, and their descriptions are vague.

per your request I just took about 6 pics of the room.

While i did bring the camera I forgot the cord to plug it into my mac :(

to add a little color until the pics of the room. It does have a 10 cup coffee maker, small microwave and fridge. It has a sink beside those and cabinet with a few dishes and glasses. The TV is a 24 inch SD and it has a separate DVD player. Hairdryer Iron, and ironing board. There is also a small table with 2 chairs.

The suits upstairs kind of frown on us giving out free advertising like that. Maybe I can talk to Intrawest and see if they want to be a sponsor :D

Hey man! Hope you are enjoying yourself. Been waiting for a post from you. Can't wait to check out the pictures when you get back. Me and my wife will be leaving early Sunday to head up there staying until Friday. (6th - 11th)

So far the weather forecast looks pretty good. Hope it stays that way. How was the road up the mountain. I'm thinking I won't need chains as the forecast isn't showing snow really. What do you think?

Anyways, I'll be checking back later... Have a great one!!!

the roads were completely clear. I did 64 to 92N to 39E to 219-it was not even wet.

I am taking an afternoon break for a few now. The slopes at SS were actually in decent shape after last nights rain. They only groomed the green runs. Up until about 1 pm today the slopes were fine but it has started to ice up now that the temp has really started to drop from this morning's 39 degree start. According to yahoo weather it is 45 right now here. Umm, I don't think so- not even close. I have no idea where they get that reading from but I would say there is no way it is over 30 now.

I had a great start this morning. Got out there at 8:30 and waited for my advanced group lesson which turned out to be a 1:45 of private lesson! Very nice indeed. Alex was my personal instructor and he helped me stepped up my game a bit.

We did my warm up runs on skiers left side of SS. Log slide and those in that area. and worked our way over to Camp 99 and Widowmaker for the last 45 mins. Camp 99 was my favorite black easily of the day for some reason it was in better shape than WM and Grabhammer. Those were not bad though 99 was just better. Did not hit WT as the wind started to kick up and heared from others that it was not very good today. Hopefully some snow will fix that and I will hit it first thing in the morning.

thinking about going to SC now to get away from the stiff wind that has started kicking.

The black/blue lessons are a well kept secret. Usually during mid-week if you book these it will most of the time turn out to be a private lesson!

The temp has been dropping all day. We will be making snow all night tonight.

Great to hear you guys will be turning on the guns tonight cause the slopes really need it now. Throw in an inch or 3 from mother nature and it should be pretty sweet in the morning. I will be out there for rope drop :>)

This really was a tale of 2 days in one conditions wise on the slopes today. Pretty good up until 1-2. After a lunch break around 2pm I hit a couple runs on SS and it was really icy. Thought maybe SC would be better since it is not so windy over there but no luck. It was every bit as icy over there after 2. Decided to save my legs for the next couple of days. Overall can't complain there was nobody here today and its looking up for tomorrow.

PM: I take it just about everything will be groomed tonight? As you know only the greens got done last evening.

Ha! wish I would have know this last year! I had Alex today and he was able to get my form better. Very glad I took the lesson. Hopefully tomorrow WT will be in better shape. I did not hit it cause everyone I talked to said it was not so good today even before noon.
