Another day, another resort. Another beautiful day weather wise. Clouds started rolling in after lunch. We hiked a lot today. I didn't come to Utah for groomers and bumps. Hiked up some ridge coming off the Powderhorn lift. Pretty sweet little run. Got some pics from the top of it. Later on we decided to traverse across the far side of Honeycomb Canyon. It was interesting to say the least. I hit a big patch of ice and slide down one of the double blacks a little bit. Kind of scary. Then I had to hike back up to Tom. Not fun. It ended up taking us an hour to get to where we wanted but it was a pretty sweet run.

This is what it looked like hiking up to Tom.

The most deserving run I've ever had.

Beautiful morning.

Tom hiking up.

Pretty sick picture of Tom at the top of our line.

I'm pretty stoked as well.

Brighton in the background.

Welcome to Honeycomb Canyon.

It is awesome to strap in with this view.

Across the canyon.

As I said, we traversed across the far face of Honeycomb. The Summit Lift is in the background and that's where we started. We are about halfway to where we went at this point. Going sideways across double blacks uphill is not fun.

I don't think I've ever heard someone so exhausted and excited at the same time way to get after. As we speak I am signing you and Tom up for a double marathon as you have already started training for it.

Great pics and video! I know it was a PITA at the time, but your first video made me laugh :-) And Solitude is aptly named; looks like y'all were the only people anywhere around! Thanks for sharing!!!!

did you take the upper or middle honeycomb traverse? I've heard that the middle one is the best one to take because you have to ski down below a rock outcrop above the upper traverse anyway.

We entered through the upper gates is all I know. We saw some guys on the far side of the canyon earlier in the day run a sweet line and the snow looked good so we just went exploring. Once we got far enough across we hiked up to the ridge and we think we went down somewhere in No Man's Land.

Take the middle traverse. The upper one gains you about 3-4 turns, not worth it.
