Someone will undoubtedly do a full report and I'll piggy back more pictures on there since I'm on a slow computer.
A lot of fun, met new people and some old ones for the first time -- special thanks to the grill miesters -- 2slik but others I believe as well
The powerline was not only doable but a lot of fun, look close, EC is making his turns
It's not a party until the police arrive ... hmm... I'll give someone else the pleasure of breaking the details --by far the funniest interaction I've ever had with law enforcement the 911 tape would be priceless. Eastcoaster's expression says it all
2slikstix talked a bunch of us into sneaking out of class and the hall monitor caught us, we all got black marks on our report cards except for him, where's the justice?

We rose early Saturday in the House in Banner Elk. Skizers friend hooked us up with free home for the weekend. After a night of friends having a great time, We arose to and awesome spread of organic food from the farm. Booked out early to procure thr prime parking for the CF gathering. Arriving at 815am, we found a few peps ready for the day.
Up to group sales for our tix, THANKS BEECH MTN!> had a great day skiing. Weather was warming and the snow was soft. EXCELLENT grooming, and some stashes of powder if you knew where to look. Got the lowdown from BarkleyDog on the lift( always nice to meet other members, esp Patrol) and proceded to rip the slopes till 11:30. Found a couple of nice runs in the trees above White Lightning. Found the guys and hit it repetadly. On the 5th run we had quite the following of people who had no clue what we were skiing, but came anyway. As we exited the glade, we were called back over to the slope by Beech Patrol. "That one in the orange has been tearing it up all day" i heard a female patrol say to older guy patrol in reference to me. They were nice, said please stay out. I said "boot deep powder and loads of fun", patrol said do it again and loose your ticket. They proceded to x mark 5 members tickets. I told cutie female patrol I already had VIP on my ticket (had marked VIP on my ticket at Group sales) so I didnt get an X. Cool! sorry boys, Im special, at least mama says so.
Next run up the lift took 10 minutes wait so EC, Davidski and I hit the powerlines. Best skiing in NC This year. Crust on mashed taters in the sun exposure. Its not for newbies, but if you know what you are doing, Patrol said they cant touch you there. (o Save u either)
Then on to the parkinglot for lunch! Well, we had brought the mascot, Jerome, hes a black Rooster, to the party. He exited the vehicle and proceded to poke around the lot for hours. The chicken chase began about 1 with many members getting in on rounding up our bird. You havent partied till you party with a chicken. We put him back in his cage and ate. Lots of new faces and good times insued. Couple of guys gave me relief on the grill and much food was consumed. Thanks for the duck rabbits somebody!!!
Ran up for 1 more run and the line was at least 45 min wait. Hit lift 6 for some more runs and back to the lot to clean up. Good times at the Beech Gathering for sure.
Oh yeah, as I was up for my last runs, someone called 911 and said there was a chicken in the parking lot getting drunk. I know, too funny call. Evidentally the BMPD showed up cause he had too and began the investigating of the drunk chicken. Blacky and X is all he found drunk , and they had a driver, so it was good. Jerome sat quietly and all was good.
NO Chickens were harmed in the making of an EPIC party at Beech! Bronco failed his initiation into the OGs club and can re-apply next season! No pix as I skied. Plenty of flashes yesterday.
Someone please post pix and vids. Chicken pix OK
Jerome is in the yard again, enjoying the memories of hanging with the CFs!

Notice the purple and hot pink fartbag in the background. This guy wasn't very happy when we asked him to get into the picture due to his steezy fartbag.

I believe the police said they were investigating an "Inebriated Chicken" call.....wonder how that will be written up for the Police Blotter in the paper.

Excellent day yesterday with everyone, weather couldn't have been nicer. Brought a buddy of mine, and well, after his first run - I did what any friend would and left him to his own devices/green lift. Wanted to make sure I got more than 2 runs in for the day. (He was totally cool with this).
Went until lunch and manned the grill getting some burgers and extra dogs going (as there was already a bunch made). Enjoyed some awesome chili on top of said burgers and dogs...
Socialized with the BMPD, not sure where all this chicken talk is coming from...
Drank some beers.
Back out in the afternoon and got exactly 1 run in. Those lines made it a very easy decision to head back to the parking lot for more food... and beer.
Our group pass was an all day ticket, so we headed inside Beech Tree for dinner, then hit the slopes for 2 more night runs which (IMO were the best runs of the day)
Thanks everyone who's names I will continue to forget. Until next time!
