So on the first part of my two week trip, I came to Seattle for the American Meteorological Society Conference. I've never been here, but this town rocks. I would love to live here. It's clean, people are very friendly, and there is so much stuff to do and it's not hard to get around town at all. It's not too large a city but just big enough to keep you entertained.

Some lake effect clouds over Lake Michigan.

Where the conference was. Really nice venue.

The space needle looked really cool at night, especially after 8 or so beers.

The Taphouse Grille is simply amazing. If you ever go to Seattle, make sure to go here. There are 160 beers on tap and you can get a sampler of 4 beers of your choice. Here is my first of three.

The company who owns the GOES satellites threw a party one night at the Museum of Flight at the Boeing field. Pretty cool.

The original Starbucks, complete with free sidewalk entertainment. There are literally 3 Starbucks on every block out here. Amazing.

A view of the city from the Space Needle.

An octopus at the aquarium.

My girlfriend takin some pics.

This guy was nappin.

Looking across the sound at some mountains.

I have some banquet tonight and then it's off to Salt Lake tomorrow to meet up with carvebeast! As amazing as this trip and city has been, I am ridiculously stoked for SLC. I'll try and keep you guys updated with daily trip reports.

1. All the beers were delicious.

2. Too busy with stuff to hit up the resorts. Besides I have five days of boarding ahead of me so I'm not worried.

Ok, is there a good explanation for the large icy drink on the left, I hope that didn't involve an umbrella.

Looks awesome, had friends in Seattle and wish I'd spent time there before they moved (back to Austin) Couldn't stand the Weather as Stevie Ray Vaughan would say
