So last night at Beech, Kevin (jamsandwich) had an idea about poaching Hawksnest this morning. Sounded like a good idea to me. So we woke up about 6 this morning and headed out to get a couple runs in before we both had to be at work. It was great. There wasn't as much snow up there as I figured. A lot of it had been blown into the woods but there was a line right beside the woods on skiers far left that we took down twice. About boot to knee deep and we rode down to where the bunny hill started. Not a lot of vert but still really fun. We both realized how much we missed that place. The views up there are amazing and the area just has a cool feel to it.



Video of our last run. I hit bottom about halfway down and tumbled a bit. Snow was really deep in spots and in others it was only about 5 or 6 inches.

The sense of nostalgia I feel watching this video is crazy. I went to Wolf on the 12th, and the whole time was thinking of how much I wanted to go to Hawksnest.

awesome. a lot better when I tried skiing it last year. All ice, essentially. There was a little fresh on the side where you were but we didnt go far. Why didnt you try top gun?
