The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

Left Charlotte at the usual 6 A.M. time this morning since classes were cancelled. I haven't seen the roads around here that bad in several years. Interstate 85 was a mess as was 321. The roads got progressively better as we got towards Lenoir and then from Lenoir to Blowing Rock it was easy sailing. Once we hit Blowing Rock though it was covered and you couldn't see the asphalt. Seeing as we were in my two wheel drive Acura going to Beech was not an option. How we made it to Sugar this morning I have no idea but we were rewarded with 10 inches of fresh and sunny skies. I haven't been to Sugar since November but today was sweet. Just about perfect snow conditions for NC and they had the guns off. Pics aren't the best I used my cell phone.

Did they groom whoopdedoo and BD? Man, I wish they would let some snow stick around on those.

Even groomed, today would of been close to one of the best days to ski Sugar. Now if they left powder on the diamond slopes, would of been even better.

Yeah everything was groomed. You had to go to the sides of the trails to play in some pow. Northridge was so much fun in the morning you could go off to the right into the tree branches a little. Sugar has a ton of snow kudos to them.
