teledave arrived at teh casa de EastCoaster on Thursday night, and we got up at 5:15 Friday morning to catch the first few lifts. A rather uneventful drive up through Poca county, temps were WARM- 50 degrees when we showed up. I actually really enjoyed the skiing- classic spring snow, soft everywhere and slushy in some spots. I would much rather be skiing this kind of surface than ice, because you can actually set an edge.

We showed up and I got exposed to this, SO I WILL EXPOSE YOU ALL IN XL PICTURE STYLIE:

I really envy all you people who made it up to Snowshoe this weekend. Looks like a really good time. This will be the first season in 5 or 6 years that I don't make ti to Snowshoe. Oh well.

Yes it was sad ,they briefly closed cup and took the groomer down to carry the girl back up in. Makes you stop and think.
