Just some boating pics.
Nantahala Falls - Standard Line in my Wavesport Big EZ
Got to try out a couple of Wavesport Demos
Habitat 80
Wavesport Diesel 80
I need to work on a better boof. Of course it would help if my feet could reach the bulkhead to get a little leverage with my knees. The 80 gallon boats are HUGE, but I didn't want to wait around since the 74 & 70 gallon boats were out.

Cool pics, looks fun as always. You stick to Wave Sports solely or try any other makes?

Wavesport had their demos at the concrete beach and were hassle free, no paperwork, no credit card, no nothing; just here's a boat have at it.
All the other vendors were at the NOC store and NOC required a credit card and paperwork, etc. Plus an extra 1/4 mile carry up to get on the water. And I was short on time.
So I just demoed the WS stuff.

What are your thoughts on the bigger boats? Do you like the volume, or prefer a smaller playboat?

Ummm, both. It just depends on what/where/when I am paddling. Saturday was the first time since last summer I had paddled my EZ, I really like it for river running and the little bit of surfing I do. But I had forgotten how splashy a ride it is.
In the winter or on low volume water (ie. creeky stuff) I use my Bliss Stick creek boat. You sit up higher and don't get as much water splashed in your face which is a real plus in colder weather, and it doesn't sink as far into the water which is important when you are running water that is only a few inches deep in places.
If I had to pick just one I would go with the creek boat. You can always surf, river run, jsut about anything other than playboat tricks in it, but it would be a lot more difficult if not impossible and downright dangerous to run the low volume stuff in a playboat.
