Thats what I saw at the Myrtle Beach bike week. I went cause nobody is gonna tell me where I cant ride. Went down Friday AM, came back to NC in the 4 hrs of Rain Sunday.

F UMD is now the most popular t shirt sold on the Grand Strand.

Went to SBB drive in bar. They have vendors, burnout pits, usually a little flashin going on and suds. It was full of HS kids in flipflops, grade school kids with mom and dad, Puppies and dogs on leashes with those families (protect from the big mean bikers I guess) and some of the gawd ugliest airbrushed women I have ever had the displeasure to observe. in a few words..........IT SUCKED!!!

the only good parts were the friends I went with and the Lakewood Campground. Very nice CG for us to take the family back too.

The place was a ghost town all weekend. MB has done it. they have officially killed bike week. Im gonna call it.......May 2009........MB has died to my bike!

The beaches on the gulf coast are much better then the east coast any day. Sand as white as snow, if you're east of Pensacola Beach the water is emerald green. So there is a few shark attacks, hell, that's errwhere now.

I'll agree with that, it should be called the Lake of Mexico, it's flat out there. But I've seen the Atlantic just as flat at times. It takes a hurricane in the gulf to get the surf up.

What is "f umd"?

I had never been to Myrtle Beach until last year when I went with my girlfriends family a couple times. Im not a huge fan of crowded places, I would rather go to some where like the OBX where its deserted. I would also probably have more fun if I had more money, everything down there is expensive.

Just got back from MB and black Bike Week went on as planned since it was held in Atlantic Beach. Attendance was pretty good but down on the south end in Garden City we hardly saw any bikers as they all stayed up north and made a point not to enter MB. If they wanted to come south they rode out and around MB.

The Business Owners Organized to Save Tourism (BOOST) had a full page newspaper add on Sunday to raise money to support the ouster of the mayor John Rhodes and the City Council. Many of the small business owners stated that they made up to 25 % of their income during the 2 week span of bike week and many had almost no business last week or this week. The city council will vote on Tuesday to raise sales tax 1% to off set the millions lost from biker revenue. The preliminary vote was unanimously pro tax.

Correct me if im wrong, but all these bikers are avoiding MB because they have to wear a helmet, right?
