The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

Marzski, Hardware, 2Slikstix and Bfeller were there. What about you? 2Slik and I carpooled in for the movie, meeting up with Hardware at Jersey Mikes for a quick dinner. Hardware has accepted the warm weather - he was in a bicycle shop when we arrived. Marzski caught up to us in the lobby of the theatre (notice the highfalutin spelling) in Cary NC. For those of you who don't know - Cary is a highbrow location. For us folks local to the RTP area, Cary is a recognized acronym for Containment Area for Relocated Yankees. Being surrounded by Cary-ites was a fitting location for a sport widely enjoyed in the northern climes.

Here's a local joke: - What's the hardest thing to find in Cary? A Cary Native.

The movie's title fit the show. The movie payed homage to 60 years of films by the WM company. As a fade between each segment, a kaleidoscope of images from previous films played. I noticed more than a few familiar shots. They followed the familiar formula of WM movies. Some people say it's a tired formula. I find it an entertaining formula. The background score brings in a soundtrack that often uses music unfamiliar to me, always newer and more progressive than what I would normally listen to - but one that is not distracting and grating to my ears.

They even (at least to me) might have slipped in a commentary on Florida Skiers with a Snowboarding Alligator. Depending upon you viewpoint, it could have been an reference to snowboarders in general since the gator tended to sit in the middle of the slope and snap at passersby, or it could have been a slam on Floraidiots, or even Gator sports fans. Personally, I think it was just in the film cause there is something funny about seeing a gator duct tapped to a snow board. Face it, it's just to hard to get a gator into ski boots. It was better than a water skiing squirrel.

Everyone there had a fun time. You should have been. Remember, there's still time to get on board for more awesome fun times with the SKISE crew - Stealth Boarder needs a roomie for the Mini Utah Summit in less than 60 days. Some Utah resorts already have snow and the SE is struggling to get a base laid down. I'm just saying....

One final comment - the awesome SKINC flag made a fleeting appearance. It was awe inspiring to finally see the flag. Being such a reverent moment for myself - I was barely able to restrain myself from reaching out and touching it. I know a TR is worthless without pictures. But hey, it was only a movie and a good time. You can't have everything.

Sounds like you had fun, but if you want hot east coast mogul and bc action get wild stallions. I have seen 4 movies from this year and wild stallions was my favorite.

Had a great time meeting up with a couple of members I know, and meeting Marski at the same time. Good movie. Sure has me stoked for the Utah Trip.

The flag made an appearance from the Vault I keep it in now. Hardware and Brett were in awe. It has returned to the suitcase where it is set to travel to Utah in a few weeks.
"You mean there is Two of them??"
"it's about 10 very heavy inches. I can drive it but it sure will be slow"
