So another day up here in beautiful NC. The day started for me with trip that should of taken 2 hours from Cat to Beech, well that did not happen thanks to NCDOT and some rocks on the 321. So that said, I ended up heading up to Beech around 2. Was greeted by the guns cranking out some serious snow and 27 degrees. Met up with Broncoboarder from the board. Skiatlanta was out there as well but never did get to see him. The mountian was dead. It fel like it was just us there. No lines, no slope overcrowding, just hop on the lift and hop right off. Made a crazy amount of runs. Ok, so the bad part of the day was the amount of terrain they had open! I know resorts have had a hard time so far this year but Beech is wasting no time in catching up. While they only had 5 runs open, they are making snow on others and by the weekend or sooner I bet you more opens! It was a great day that turned into night. Headed in to grab a beer and a bite to eat with Bronco. Groomer came out and did its thing and made conditions SWEET! Temps dropped to 22! Stayed til 830 and skied the night session. Overall it was a great day! The guns are doing there thing thats for sure. We would ski up and by the time we skied down, out tracks were already covered up from the guns. Good job today Beech! It was a great day. I apologize about not to many pics. The snow was blowing everywhere and I did not want to chance having my camera getting soaked!

White lightning needing some serious snowmaking!!!

Groomer doing it's thing!

I was wondering the same thing since I don't have a leash. I see lone skis rocketing down trails, but I've never seen a board alone.

No...I've been to sugar and cat this season. Not a single lifty has given me a problem. I have a little strap on my binding (it came w/ it) with a clip and I just clip it to my cap strap. You can barely even tell its there. If they were really enforcing it they would really look at it and realize it does nothing and is just there for show. :D

i've got the same clip that attaches to a keyring on the boot laces, came with my burton bindings. ober always checks for the leash. they have one way in and one way out to the slopes. took another board one time last year and had to buy the crappy leash for like $12 bucks. beech checked a few times last year or the year before when they posted the nc law requiring a leash. the one that comes with burton bindings isn't bad, you really don't know it's there.
