Made it up last night for first trip since the storm. Hoped there would be some great conditions and we were not disappointed. We rode the entire 4 hour session without stop, I'm pretty beat today. There were hardly any people on the mountain all night. For the most part the snow was great, still a lot of powder on Big Red, especially in the very middle and towards the outside. I ran across a few icy spots on Switchback/ Northridge, and there were some patches of crud on the Flying Mile in places. As usual the guns were on, but you gotta expect it. the grey lift was running surprisingly and there was no line at all. Sugar is much maligned for a lot of things but when you look at the conditions they create pretty consistantly you have to give them credit for fielding a great product. Here are a few bad pics of my son and one of me. Tough to make good ones at night. Oh yeah never mind the dates.
