Went to Winterplace the day after Christmas with my brother and expected it to be a little bit more crowded. I am not quite ready for the black diamonds but my brother is bit of a pro on them, so he was able to get some really good shots. My camera isn't all that good but hopefully they are good enough to enjoy the beauty of Appalachian Mountains!! I spent about 6 hours out there attempting to master the snowboard. I am getting better I must say. Check out these first two pics they may give you a laugh...

**ignore the dates on the pictures, my camera is way messed up.

Me on my feet....

....Yeah this one definitely hurt

Ahhhhhh the place of winter. Good times.

Nice pics, looks like some people used the new snow to take advantage of Turkey Chute...

check out all the new polecats on LOOK AT ME and MEADOWS. They had the polecats on Drop Off last year, also saw a new one at the top of turkey chute pointing toward compromise. Good to see they have invested in new fan guns. Those yellow home-made fan guns seem to freeze up easily.

...and were the loudest snow guns on the planet. When that place was running all of its guns full-steam, you could barely carry on a conversation on the lift. The polecats barely make a sound by comparison.

The ski report says terrain features moved to Wanderer now. Good because that is a short & quick lift ride back up.

Heres some stuff. The video is from december 30th

First day doing those so I was happy.

and a couple pictures of some tech stuff

The hippy picture is a little lacking but I think I ironed out the quirks with that trick over break. I probably did upwards of 70 of them with a few different combinations.

Awesome backflip. Did you take video of the runs in general at WP?

No that was taken with my above mediocre picture camera. I just wanted a video of it. I think I am going to buy a new camcorder to make edits soon. I would film some runs if they had good snow on them or something interesting. If you look on youtube a lot of people have helmet cam or just holding cam videos of the trails at winterplace.
