The best runs today were Robbins Run to Powderbowl. WL had a lot of grass showing. The key was that it didn't rain and was warm enough all night so there wasn't new ice. 37 degrees when we arrived mid-morning and seemed to stay in the 30's. Some clouds, brief sun, and snow showers starting around 2:30. 31 degrees and snowing as we headed down the mountain around 3:30.

Oz was closed because they were working on it. The guys were setting up snow guns in the afternoon.

Well worth the trip to ski a little with friends and meet new ones. Plus juniors are free on Mondays. Gotta take advantage of winter teacher work days!

a little grass showing

clouds at the bottom around 1:00pm

brief sunshine around 1:30pm

Snow looked pretty good for all the rain they had. Looked like fun.

Any other year, there probably would've been little left to ski on after Sunday's rain. But with the deep base from the extended cold weather in late Dec and early Jan, there was plenty in enough places. I didn't bother with WL or Southern Star and stuck with Robbins. Shawneehaw was too popular, so too many people and all churned up.

Looks a lot better than I would have expected! Always fun to meet up with friends and the discounts definitely make it worth the trip...

Only disappointment was that Oz wasn't open. Was hoping to introduce it to Marz Jr.

It was nice that she got to know Skywriter's boys a little better. The kids were done early when the clouds rolled down in the afternoon, so they went to hang out in the View Haus. Gave me a chance to do a few laps with skimouse with no line on the quad.

Turns out skimouse will be at Beech the weekend of the Summit because she will be there for the Crescent ski racing.

Hoping for an even bigger SkiSE Diva group photo on Feb. 20 at the summit.

Great fun for all, boys were still talking about Marzki Jr. Even found a jawbreaker stuck to my carpet at the end of the day. We need to make sure we get a good Diva photo at Summit!!!
