The day before the storm.

Bronco Boarder, Copper Mtn Fan and I headed up to Cat to celebrate the 7th anniversary of CMF's 39th birthday on Friday. The conditions started out a little crunchy, but that got skied off pretty quickly to be packed powder most of the day. And then the snow started around 1:30 and we had a few great runs before attempting to beat the storm out of town.

The glades areas were skiable but icy in the AM but I'm sure they'll be great over the weekend

The roads coming back were worse than expected for only a few hours of snowfall at that point. Props to Bronco Boarder for getting us back safe and sound, and props to CMF and myself for pushing cars out of our way to so he could get the CRV through. Once the plows got to the roads, most people could get through, but waiting for the plows and then the people who couldn’t get going again was an adventure. I’m looking forward to hearing how the roads were today and tomorrow.

What a great day! The ride home was the BIGGEST adventure of the day! Props DO go out to Travis and CMF for helping push all of the cars up the inclines. Without you guys, we probably would still be out there on those roads. For CMF, what a way to spend your birthday. I sure did Love those rollers (3 consecutive ones) on Turkey Trot. It really made it worth it to go down there. Travis & CMF, my wife said it was her pleasure about the sandwiches and drinks. Thanks for being the photog, Travis.

Now, here a couple pics that I took with the P&S.
