Made the trek up from Charlotte for the half day session today with some friends. I-77 was a mess this morning. The roads in the mountains were in much better condition. Glad I made the trip though as it was a beautiful day. Not a cloud in the sky, perfect temperatures, no blowers, and great snow. Can't ask for more in NC.
Riding up first time.
I always love this shot from the lift.
Down White Lightning.
Beautiful view from the top.
My crew. Notice the lift lines weren't too bad. Got a little longer than this but the guys working the lines were really efficient at getting people on.
White Lightning 1.
White Lightning 2.
Robbins.
Finding stuff to play around in on Southern Star.
About to go over a jump in Powderbowl.
Up rail at the bottom.

Both. You can set it to take a picture every 2 or 5 seconds, 3 shot burst, or regular mode.

That was me. Pink Jr and the Ravenette were taking a snowboard lesson from Iheartsnow so we were waiting for that. Were you the one laughing when I fell over for no reason?!

Oh and that was me screaming at you two from the lift! Way to go getting the youngster boarding, how'd she like it? Will she race Skiwryter Jr in the next boardercross?

yes skipink i saw the fall.
i think we all have those humbling moments. she's not ready for the boardercross yet. she goes heel edge all the way down freestyle. but for her 1st day of snowboarding, not bad.
