(my computer is melting so I'm going to get this out in parts)

I returned home last night from a 7-day trip to COPPER MOUNTAIN, LOVELAND, and WINTERPARK/MARY JANE. actually I cut the trip short a day so my wife didn't risk being stuck home without me in another weekend of snow.

Record low precip. in Summit Co. and epic storms in NC; I'm sure the irony is lost on no one here. Still many pockets of greatness and thousands of feet to mach

COPPER MOUNTAIN:

My computer is really messing up: I'll try to edit more in

Ok I think it is working so I'll continue with this shot -- top of a traverse after a short bootpack to Union peak--

Looking down and around before dropping--

Later I got into the trees at union meadow; good stuff but thin -- it had opened the day before and I bet closed after we left because the feed out was already a mess

still I know where to go on a powder day

I also hit Resolution Bowl/lift for the first time since most of the back wasn't open. Even though it was suffering in current conditions it still holds a lot of snow and it will be something I will hit early in the future -- it is much wider and longer --then the trail map indicates

I ended the day off the high poma lift and literally got last seat (I love it when that happens though that maybe ****** on my part but oh well)

We left Copper for our luxury accommodations in Goergetown and prepared for two days at LL

Man, that makes me so nostalgic. That was my go-to mountain for years. That's my all time favorite area.

How is Tucker? Was the cat not running?

The snow wasn't the greatest, but it looks like the weather treated you well.

Tucker was not open -- nothing back there but BlackJack lift was running and not even the run underneath that-- although some fool poached it--

I spent a lot of time dodging in and out of the easy trees under Sierra-- which is fine -- I love that lift
