I didn't get to Beech as early as I wanted to, but no worries. Crowds were light and the entire mountain was open.

Visibility was another issue. Beech can't do anything about that, but on one occasion I could not see the chair in front of me heading to the top of the mountain. Wind too. In 35 years of skiing, I actually grabbed the chair today and held on.

The snow was primo. Though I couldn't see, I could ski. Lots of turns today.

I got my money's worth, but hopefully sunshine will smile on me Tuesday after next, when I will return. If anyone in the Asheville area needs a ride, I leave at 8am not far off of Merrimon Avenue.

Thanks... it made me "think" about what I was doing instead of just doing it... I have been transitioning from 218cm skis to the new shorter, shaped skis.

I will be going back Tuesday after next.
