I know it's more of the same but if you want to see how Cat was this Pres. Day weekend here you go:

The crowd at noon

But once you got on the lift it wasn't so bad. Upper OMG also around noon

The base wasn't even that bad early, but it did get alot worse.

People are funny! This guy gave up and walked down.

My son.

Husband.

Myself.

View from that newer run that goes around some trees. Turkey Trot, maybe?

Cute cabin we stayed in.

We all like puppy pics, right?? So this is Dixie. She is 14.

And Shady enjoying eating snow.

Just a couple from around the yard...the backyard lake view.

Sad windmill palm...I hope it makes it...

And looking up my driveway.

Thanks for indulging me on the home shots. For you that live in NC and VA, this is becoming "old hat" but for us in Atlanta, it's a rare and exciting event!!! ;)

great pics, particularly the palm tree. i have one outside here in asheville that i hope is going to survive its first winter outside. is a windmill palm the same plant as the needle palm?

I'm not sure but I think they are different palms. This one in the photo is 3 years old. So, can you see all these pics? I can't and I can't in the other threads either. I guess my computer is having issues...

pretty sure i can see all the pics. the needle palm is supposedly the most winter hardy palm and my palm while at least 3 year is much smaller than yours. needle palms have very pointy needles at the base about 3 inches long. i started growing banana trees in my yard and got interested in other "tropical" type plants.

The Cat pics were good too!

edit- you are right, they are two different types. if interested, here is a link to the southeast palm society, which is a good palm resource.

Enjoyed the pics. Looks very crowded, but the snow looks good. I have a sago palm that looks sick after the 8+ inches of snow that piled up on it....hoping it makes it, but it doesn't look good and the branches have not bounced back after the melt.

The funniest part of the first picture is the woman carrying skis with a giant purse onto the slopes.
