Couple of patrol buddies and I met up at Max today. Lots of snow and beautiful day with temps around freezing. We skied of the back. Some very large cornices up there, some having broken. Snow was a little sun baked but around 6" to 8" of niceness.

An idea of the amount of snow up there right now

View from the parking lot

On our way up

Views from the top

Don't think this picture does justice to the size of the cornices. We steered clear, didn't have our beacons:)

View down our first run

Ken starting down

Rob's next

Tracks from about the 300 vertical foot run

Video of yours truly, my dog in hot pursuit

The dogs eagerly awaiting Rob

We didn't have a good time

Hope we get one more storm for another great day

Great pictures - Looks like a fun "off" day from the Cat. Is that a Scotish Ale to end the day?

Where is match patch? Also, were those your tracks I saw on the bald next to cat? It was definitely a very good skier, because the tracks were in that perfect pattern.

Max Patch is SW of Hot Springs and very accessible. Not mine, not been able to get up there yet this year.
