Warning, If you are offended by same sex marriage, just skip this thread! I'm not out to bother you, so please to bother me. Thanks, Jess
So yeah, I thought I'd post a little report on my trip to Stowe, not much snowboarding went down, but lots of other cool stuff did...
So, day one we flew into town, saw the mountain,
and checked into the timberholm inn. (def recommend this joint, inkeepers were super cool, food was amazing and had its own private pub downstairs steps away from the hot tub!)
Temps were in the 60's for the first two days, but ok by me cause we weren't riding for a while. Our guests loved the temps, being southerners and were up for some trips.
Like the Ben and Jerry's factory,
and the Cabot cheese annex.
Once everyone arrived, we went out for the "rehearsal dinner."
Which somehow ended up including a shot ski, and a few Growlers...
Of course, being rabid NCAA basketball fans, after dinner, we returned to the B&B's private pub to watch some tourney on the plasma. (back row includes the inkeepers, Tom and Susan in the middle)
Next morning I dropped several of the ladies off for massages at the Stoweflake Spa... (sorry no pics of that.) and drove off on my own to try to relax before the big event. I encountered two odd road signs. I get this one guys...
but seriously, what is with the rabid, milking, pooping cow?!?
After I rounded up the Ladies, including my future wife and "Mistress of Honor" we all went back to ready for the ceremony, and take a few pics. It was still pretty warm, so we did an outdoor photo sesh before the wedding.
The guests: (Mistress of Honor on the far right, also mastermind behind the Bachelorette party)
The happy couple:
Squirrel!
Then the justice of the peace arrived, and we got hitched...
Yay for legal same sex marriage in Vermont!
(The JP said, and I quote" There's no turning back now!")
Of course, then we had cake, and dinner, and most of our guests left the next day when it began to snow... and I finally got to ride!
No action pics but Sherri, my wife, did her first mogulfest:
right under the gondola at that!
And our buddy Trenna got a lesson.
I got a few pics, and this was my fave:
And they lived happily ever after!
