As some of you know, my parents recently retired in Beaufort, SC, halfway between Charleston and Savannah. I couldn't have asked for a better place to visit- its absolutely beautiful in a very different way than Colorado, and its perfect for relaxing. There are some amazing photo locations within a short drive as well- here's a quick photo TR of the last week I spent chillin' in the lowcountry.
The Old Sheldon Church near Yemassee- burned down by the British and then again by the Federal Army:
One of my favorite spots- an oak-lined road leading to the Brewton Plantation:
Nowhere special- this was taken in my parent's neighborhood:
The Chapel of Ease in St. Helena Island:
A bada$$ sunset from the clubhouse in the neighborhood:
Another of the Chapel of Ease:
Embedded bricks inside an old tree trunk:
Truly beautiful, the Old Sheldon Church again (especially after you wait for an hour of downpour to pass):
One last shot of the Brewton Plantation road:
As always, more pictures from the trip on my website.
