I got myself a new Kodak Playsport HD for my birthday. It's a waterproof HD camcorder that can also take still photos.

I've been looking for excuses to use it. The four day frenzy of night driving, sleep deprivation, and good wholesome fun that was my family vacation seemed like a good time to show what it can do.

First, the stills:

To the right

Straight ahead

To the left to the left

A little further down the beach

I theorize that these two fellows unintentionally caught one of the kids boogie boarding close to their lines.

A house in the middle of the marsh in Varnamtown, because neaighbors are overrated.

Find the egret.

The best food in a beach town can be found in trashed out single-wides. This place is in nearby Varnamtown.

Here's a vid of my kid playing on the beach and my nephew's first time across a pool. Watch it on 720p. The playsport does pretty well underwater for something that ran me 130 bucks. The tune is Young at Heart by Jimmy Durante. I thought it was appropriate with his signature sign off of "Good Night Lady Calabash"

And this is just a vid I made for fun of my boy, nephews, and nieces, playing in the pool out in Wolfskin. The tune is Ingenuity by Pogo.

dude, that trailer looks worse that Bill's Seafood and much worse than the Seafood hut. nice find. I'll have to search it out. On the other end of the spectrum, did you go to the Sugar Shack ? The go cart track ? OIB is not bad but it's no sunset.....

It's called the Silver Hill Grill and its on Holden Beach rd between Supply and Varnamtown. Ironic because there are no hills around there. Food is tasty and plentiful. They operate at a slower pace so it's best to phone your order in then drive out there to eat it or take it back to wherever youre staying. It's a big favorite amongst the old school locals and thats mainly who youll see in there.

I've been to the Sugar Shack but didnt go on this particular trip. I can take or leave jamaican food so it couldve been phenomenal and I wouldnt have known.
