Buffalo Creek is an amazing mountain bike trail system about an hour southwest of Denver- it's the type of place that I don't ride enough, and when I do I'm reminded of how lucky I am to live out here in Colorado. Tight, smooth singletrack with killer views... not a bad way to spend Labor Day morning. We managed to stop enough to take a bunch of pictures this time (and yes, I lugged around my big camera- not fun on the climbs!):

I like the one with the big rock, just goes to show the magnitude against the rider.

so forgive my lack of knowledge - the barren "deadness" in many of the pics - forest fire... insects?

Forest fire back in 2003... it was the Hayman fire, started by a local park ranger who was upset with her ex-boyfriend and decided to burn all his letters. I believe it grew to over 200,000 acres. The diversity of the terrain due to the fire is pretty amazing.

Awesome photos...seeing you guys out in CO riding, makes me want to buy a new MTB bike and get off the road bike more. Maybe if next years TDI Fest lands in Denver I might hit you up for a riding excursion.
