More than 1680 riders participated for the weekend plus the hundreds if not thousands of volunteers that made this event possible. It was fabulous! The weather was great as was the fellowship, food and entertainment. We had 12 team members starting togther, riding at and easy pace until some just could not hold back and took off. The slower 4 stuck together and cruised along taking in the scenery and relaxing at the rest stops. The 50 miles went by pretty quickly and soon we were back at the park ready for food, fun, a massage and beer.

Our killer jerseys. Thank you Mike for making this possible!

Day 1

SkiSouthEasters Skiwryter, HNH, Skipink and Bultacco in front of our tent! Within 5 minutes of raising the sign, someone came over and asked which of us was responsible for his spending so much time on the website!

There were many comments on the jerseys and with the website prominantly on the back, many discussions insued with riders who would ask us what SkiSouthEast was about. We loved talking during the ride to others and gave away bunches of stickers back at the tent.

At the start.

Skipink and Skiwryter at the first rest stop.

The four "not as fast but having more fun" riders.

Back at the tent after the first 50.

HNH enjoying an adult beverage with Carol

HNH and Bultacco

The "Claw"

The theme for this year's ride was super heros... HNH with one of the costumed.

Day 2

The forcast was for rain, rain and more rain. I woke up praying for thunder so I wouldn't have to get out of bed. No such luck. While it had rained overnight, there were patches of blue in the sky.

Not as many showed up for day 2 (only 8 instead of 12)

At the rest area, the sun was still shining.

We started out and it was beatiful but a little windy. Some in our group had planned to only ride 30 miles but we were having so much fun that we convinced everyone to continue on. However, the futher west we rode the darker the sky got and so at the turn for the 40 mile mark be decided that descretion was warrented. However HNH had come all this way to ride 100 miles in 2 days so he and Tim manned up and went on to do the full 50, arriving back at the tent just as the first rain began.

We had a great time and I can't wait until next year!

Sorry Mike, I know it's SkiSE but this is where it started for me. Thanks for everything. :)

Guys...we really want to thank those of you who put in the time to coordinate this ride and our sponsorship in it. Hats off to Frances (skipink), SkiWryter, HNH and Bultacco...and the rest of the team who rode this weekend. You guys rock!

Dude...how did I not get invited to this!?! LOL...Great job, definately let me know next year, I've been wanting to do an MS150 ride but have never gotten to yet...I'll need a new event next year.

Like ZD stated I rode 178 miles from York, SC to Isle of Palms (Charleston), SC over the weekend. Gives me 1569 miles for 2010...and counting.

Great jerseys! Good job everyone.

Silence, you mentioned that you were doing the ride and I knew it was at the same time. Anyone can do this next year, I have already registered the team again.

As for the jerseys being available, I hope Mike will be willing to sponsor us again next year. If so, anyone can get one, as long as you do the ride...you gotta work for those babies!
