Have some continuing education to do and thought I'd do it in Boise as I've never been there. The only place I've ever spent any time in in Idaho is Driggs, Idaho Falls, Targhee. I'll probably have a couple of late afternoons when I can get out and do a little hiking, etc...

I will definitely try to get over and have a look at the Smurf Turf at Boise State...jsut to see if it's as ugly in person as it is on TV...

Any suggestions for hikes and/or sights in Boise?

Thanks!

Sweet Heel. My Mom lived in Soda Springs for 15 years. Loved it when she was up there. Could make a day trip to Beaver Mountain,Ut, Lava Hot Springs, and Pebble Creek in Pocatello.

Beaver Mountain, Ut., is really a pretty good mountain for a day ski area. Got some challenging terrian.

Yeah Bogus Basin is about 45 min outside down town Boise. It's pretty big. Won't be open yet,but probably some good hiking. Brundage is about 2 hr away.
