I did a little hiking in the Chihuahua Gulch area. This was my first time on this trail. It's open to most mountain activities including motorized. I did not drive it, just to the trail head. I brought a chihuahua mix along. There was some snow up there.
Chihuahua Gulch is located near Keystone Colorado. It's not far from where I live.

I did that hike a couple years ago at about this time, after the first snow. It's beautiful up there.

I really like the Peru Creek area. I have been on 2 hikes this month over there. I heard there is a nice lake in the Chihuahua Gulch but I did not make it. My dog is older and he can not go as far as he use to. It's nice to have places like this close to my residence. I don't use much gas to get to them.
I am thinking of getting another dog this summer. My dog is aging and I want the new dog to learn from him. My little dog is experienced and very good with other hikers and dogs. Dogs can learn from each other.
