It was a great start to the season. Light snow on and off with a few peaks of sunshine through the clouds.I was concerned that the wind was gonna be an issue, but by snowshoe standards it was only blowing moderately.Good visability everywhere except on the lift ride up ball hooter where they were blowing snow.No snowblowers were on any of the open terrain.
The place was a ghost town.Just me and the deer at general parking at 8:30 AM
At the rope drop Gandy's right side was ungroomed and made for some nice pow turns on the first run of the season.
Second run of the year. Hug the trees and find some deeper pow turns.(Repeat )
Then over to the northern tract area to some chalky wind buffed groomers.
The scenery .
Powder hunting...
Feels good to back on the snow!
