Headed up to wintergreen Saturday since the weather was so nice. For the first weekend they were open things looked great. No lines at the highlands lift or the big acorn lift. Snow was firm with some areas of man made powder around the edges of the trails.

On with the pics:

Had 5 rails setup at the side of upper dobie

Dobie

Sunrise and tequlia

Very nice! I loved going to wintergreen last year. Looks good in the early season. Thanks for sharing.

That place used to have a bunch of expert trails but when I looked at the trail report, they only listed 2,not including the terrain park!

Both times we went last year to WG they had just gotten 30" of snow so Dobie was great, but we didn't ride anything else due to our noobness at the time.

It really sucks that their pass isn't good on Saturdays or half the day on Sunday. What were they thinking?

have they let that top run on the highland area mogul up yet?

Only the second day they have been open so it was hard to tell if they had groomed the top of highlands or not. Did seem to be some small moguls forming. I think the trail they normally leave ungroomed wasn't open yet.

I've only been on the highlands a couple times since I mainly go at night. I really wish they would get some lights for that side of the mountain.

Good job posting the first report out of Wintergreen this season-- it looks nice

If this year continues as its building now we may be in for another brilliant season (WV and Nc highlands at least)-- and I hope WG will finally get some good natural stuff again this year

+1, I think we'll head on up to Massanutten for a night session after Christmas since they have lights for all runs.
