Weather-wise, today was one of the best days of the season. After battling tough conditions this week during night sessions, and yesterdays ice fest at Beech, I had to get out in the sun and make some turns. I wanted to go to Beech again today, but my skiing window was from 12 noon when I was done with work, until 3 when I had to leave to head off the mountain for Christmas. I pulled in at 12:15 and they were directing traffic to turn at the auxillary parking. One bus ride later I was at the lodge where the lift window was crawling with people. But when I got to the lift I couldnt believe the lines. I timed 3 mins in line until I was on the lift. Not bad! Skiied Whoop and Boulder to the 1/2 load, where i never waited more than 5 chairs to get a lift back up. Boulder and Whoop were icy, but after last night, anything went! Great day. Merry Christmas:

The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard
